Malaria 69

First, I gotta be honest here. I’m not really in a good mood to record today. First, there are so many big messages swamped to me today, then my ‘condition’ returns out of nowhere which inconveniences me a LOT, and… there is some more stuff as well. Also, I can’t use the number 69 even though it’s the name of the track because I feared the stupid YouTube demonetization laws (even though I’m not monetizable) Anyway, enough about the ranting. Onto the track itself, which luckily, is a rather simple one for me to do. Malaria 69 is pretty much the OG Zancudo-extension tracks. I decided to not use it before because it feels too simple for me to use back there, but now, this track qualified for the second batch of older tracks. There’s not much to say about the general theme here, other than it trying to be a flow-y event track around Zancudo with some endurance touches on it. The name Malaria is derived from Zancudo’s name meaning Mosquito (albeit not Malaria Mosquito specifically) While it’s likely that 69 here refers to a play on Route 68 which is also prominently featured on this track. This track also has a shorter Training Loop circuit, looping around Zancudo Road and Tongva Drive, cutting right into the Fort. The Pitlane meanwhile is to go around the Eastern Hangar in Zancudo. The next track shall also be new tracks, the Definitive Edition, released soon before the actual remaster of GTA San Andreas, followed by another new track centered about a mission, The Nonsensible Thing.

The car to be used here will be… a Barracks Semi with the license plate of MOSQUITO. He prepares for some handling surprises and many braking failures.

“Question, why is this base called Mosquito? Because it sits right by a lake where malaria mosquitos can breed as they please and spread disease? Because the sounds of jets taking off is like mosquito buzzing? We have no idea, but we’re glad that Fort Zancudo allows us to sanction this race to showcase the tour around the finest Military Base on the West Coast. At least there’s no danger from the Rhino Cannons this time. The pitlane is around the Eastern Hangar”

The track started at the Zancudo Bridge, but the first corner is sharp and narrow, the “Sharp Position” into the Gas Station. The next corner is at the end of the first Route 68 section, which is the “Patriot Hill” into Tongva Road. After that, the next hard corner is the blinding “Barranca Summit” followed by the twisty “Mount Vinewood Section” At the bottom, there’s the “Cathedral Loop” into the dirt section, followed by another dangerous corner, “Khanjali’s Blade”. Then to avoid the river is the lefthander of “Crusader’s Tunnel” before having the “Winky Leap” back to Route 68. Following that is the fast yet deceiving righthander of “Moose Memorial” Upon entering the Fort itself, the next problematic corner is the ”Barracks Corner” followed by “Sergeant Badge” lefthander. After that is a lefthander of “Patrol Rhino” back to the main road followed by “Stars and Stripes” righthander through the gates. Next is the fast and wide Chicane of “Z1 Alpha” to start the main runway section, followed by the “Besra Hairpin” before going to the tight “Knife Flight Stunt” section before ending in the sharp double apex corner of “Starling” to exit the Western Gate followed by the last corner of the track, ”The Mosquito Hairpin” back into the tunnel.
