This section explores the academical skills and abilities I have and learned in life. Those who are likely to get me further in my career.
English Skill
Considering that I am in the English Program, it makes sense that English Skill is one of my selling points. It can be said that my English is better than average. a proof of my English Proficiency here is that I have a TEP Score of 547.
Translation between Indonesian and English
Still regarding my English Skill, this also means that I am also quite proficient in translating between Indonesian and English. I can do translation on spot if it’s required, and if I’m too lazy to try checking Google Translate to know what it actually means. However, I also developed a habit to translate a fanfiction story as I read it, which helps my Translation Skill.
Writing Skill
On the topic of writing, I also have a good writing skill. I used to write a lot of notes back in my younger days, but in the past few years, the fear of losing everything i worked for made me type everything in PC to back it up. I also developed a habit to even taking small notes on my phone before transferring it on PC, just because it’s easier both to type and also to remind of. Creative Writing will be mentioned later.
Computer Skills
Regarding Typing on Computer, I also have a good Computer Skills. Granted that it’s not on the Mechanical Side, but I’m at least competent enough with computer. This also applies to phones, as I’m pretty much a quick learner when it comes to gadgets… it just that I sometimes think too much inside of the box to figure out something.
Geography (especially Cartography)
One of my best passion when it comes to Academics is Geography. Even though I picked the Science Branch on High School, I picked Geography as my extra class. I also got involved in a competition there, but my true specialization is on Cartography. I am pretty good and reliable with maps and naming places, and I can remember maps very well and have a good sense of direction as well.
History
Another Academical Passion I have is also ironically on Social Branch. I am an avid of history, although I honestly prefer the International History especially the East Asian one. It’s because Indonesian History has already been told so many times in my school while most International Histories covers the West. There’s any room of interesting story waiting to be discovered, even the more obscure histories both in the past and the contemporary.
